governs how much money the state gives to the counties and cities to fund a public education system and that we are expecting to receive more than $1 million less from the state.

But you all need to know and need to stay aware of the spending that is proposed in the next few years.

But I would hope that the people of Nelson County would share in that burden.

So this grant I think is a five year grant and again is thought to provide good outcomes for those who are going through the drug court and would provide peer, what they call peer recovery support specialists that they could meet with outside of drug court to try to keep them on the right track and not recidivate.

So basically the ask is, do we want to reallocate $5,000 of the fund to this?

But mainly, they just want to know, do we want to participate?

I think it's pretty minimal.

So if you think favorably upon the application of participating, I would ask that if you make a motion doing so, just also please authorize myself to sign any related documents for the grant.
