All right, so I will call us to order, Charlottesville City Council, a special meeting for 2.30, roll call.

All right, so we're all here, and our purpose is to interview candidates for the position of City Attorney.

Yes, sir.

Pursuant to Section 2.2-3712 of the Virginia Code, I hereby move that City Council close this open meeting and convene in the closed session.

is authorized by Virginia Code Section 2.2-3711A1 for discussion, consideration, and interviews of prospective candidates for employment to the position of city attorney for the city of Charlottesville.

And it says here we are supposed to actually cast our votes, so let's cast our votes on that motion.

Okay, we're all acknowledged 5-0, so council is now in closed session.

We expect to be back here to simply recite the fact that we have done our closed session duty probably around 4.30, but there will be nothing substantive discussed then, so if anybody is thinking, gee, I'm going to tune back in at 4.30 just to see what council did, we will not have done anything that we could tell you about.

So, anyway, we're in closed session now.
