Board of Supervisors Special Meeting - Closed Meeting   6/29/2022

The supervisors who are present are Supervisor Ann Mallek of the White Hall District, Supervisor Diantha McKeel of the Jack Jouett District, Supervisor Ned Gallaway of the Rio District, Supervisor Bea LaPisto-Kirtley of the Rivanna District, Supervisor Jim Andrews of the Samuel Miller District, and myself, Supervisor Donna Price of the Scottsville District.

Supervisor Andrews, do we have a motion to go into closed meeting?

Without objection, if the clerk will call the roll.

We will now go into our closed meeting.

I move that the Board of Supervisors certify by recorded vote that to the best of each supervisor's knowledge, only public business matters lawfully exempted from the open meeting requirements of the Virginia Freedom of Information Act and identified in the motion authorizing the closed meeting were heard, discussed, or considered in the closed meeting.

Yes, Chair Price, I would like to move that the Board of Supervisors appoint Steven L. Rosenberg, the next county attorney of Albemarle County.

We don't really have this planned, but for all those in attendance, Steve, if you wouldn't mind just standing up and let everybody see our new county attorney.

I also want to express great appreciation on the part of this Board for Supervisor Galloway through this process.

And we're going to have a lot more to say when we get out there, but we are so excited to have you, Steve and Catherine, and we welcome you to Albemarle County.

And Ned, we're going to give you the first meeting off for your hard work.
