  • Public Hearing:

  • 18. ZTA201800002 Uses on commercially zoned properties not served by public water or approved central water supplies (previously referred to as “Commercial and Industrial zoned properties not served by public water”). To receive comments on its intent to adopt an ordinance amending Chapter 18, Zoning, of the Albemarle County Code described below. Districts affected: The proposed ordinance pertains to all lands in the Commercial (“C-1”), Commercial Office (“CO”), and Highway Commercial (“HC”) zoning districts (Albemarle County Code, Chapter 18, Sections 22, 23, and 24 respectively) that are not served by public water or an approved central water supply. Summary of current regulations: Under current regulations in these districts, any use otherwise allowed by-right is permitted only by special use permit if the use is not served by public water but involves water consumption exceeding 400 acres per site acre per day. Summary of proposed amendments: The proposed ordinance would amend the district regulations to: 1. Require a special use permit for certain uses otherwise allowed by-

Richardson BACKGROUND: Virginia Code §15.2-2507 provides that any locality may amend its budget to adjust the aggregate amount to be appropriated during the fiscal year as shown in the currently adopted budget; provided, however, any such amendment which exceeds one percent of the total expenditures shown in the currently adopted budget must be accomplished by first publishing a notice of a meeting and holding a public hearing before amending the budget. The Code section applies to all County funds, i.e., General Fund, Capital Funds, E911, School Self-Sustaining, etc. STRATEGIC PLAN: Mission: To enhance the well-being and quality of life for all citizens through the provision of the highest level of public service consistent with the prudent use of public funds.

  • Thank you for attending today's public hearing. During the 2019 Calendar Year, the Chair is Ned L. Gallaway and the Vice-Chair is Rick Randolph.

  • During the time set aside for "Matters Not Listed for Public Hearing on the Agenda", individuals may address the Board of Supervisors concerning any issue not listed on the agenda for Public Hearing. Individuals are allowed three minutes to speak, unless otherwise decided. A sign-up sheet is provided at the meeting. During Public Hearings, the Board will only acknowledge speakers addressing the item listed for Public Hearing. Speakers are limited to one appearance of three minutes per public hearing item. A sign-up sheet is provided at the meeting and you may sign up online in advance of the meeting at http://www.albemarle.org/bosspeakers/. Speakers will be called forward in an alternating pattern of in person sign ups and online sign ups. Applicants are limited to a ten minute presentation of their proposal and are allowed a five minute rebuttal at the close of the public hearing.
