  • 10. Fiscal Year 2026 Appropriations.

  • 11. Public Hearing to Consider the Adoption of an Ordinance to Modify Real Estate Tax Relief for Elderly and Disabled Persons. To receive public comment on its intent to adopt an ordinance to amend County Code Chapter 15, Taxation. The proposed ordinance would amend Article 7, Real Property Tax, Division 2, Real Property Tax Exemption for Certain Elderly and Disabled Persons, Sections 15-709, Real property eligible for an exemption, and 15-710, Amount of exemption. The proposed amendment would adjust the maximum annual net income limit to align with the current value for the US Department of Housing & Urban Development Area Median Income (AMI) Limits, using the value for 80% AMI for a family of four in Albemarle County. It will adjust the maximum annual net combined financial worth not to exceed the inflation adjusted value of $200,000 in January 2007 and rounded to the nearest $1,000 for the calendar year immediately preceding the taxable year. All proposed amendments would be enabled by Virginia Code §§ 58.1-3210 and 58.1-3212, to be effective on and after January 1, 2026.

  • 12. 25-3(3) – Agricultural and Forestal Districts. Ordinance to amend County Code Chapter 3, Agricultural and Forestal Districts, Article II, Districts of Statewide Significance, Division 2, Districts, & Article III, Districts of Local Significance, Division 2, Districts, to review the Green Mountain, Nortonsville Local, and Batesville Agricultural and Forestal Districts: a. AFD-2025-01 Green Mountain – District Review. The proposed ordinance would amend Section 3-217, Green Mountain Agricultural and Forestal District, to continue the district for all parcels identified in the district regulations, to set the next district review deadline date of December 3, 2035, and to remove any parcels in the district for which a request for withdrawal is received before the Board acts on the proposed ordinance. b. AFD-2025-02 Nortonsville Local – District Review. The proposed ordinance would amend Section 3-307, Nortonsville Local Agricultural and Forestal District, to modify it by removing Tax map 8, parcel 28; and would continue the district for all other parcels identified in the district regu

  • Opportunities for the public to access and participate in this meeting are posted on the Albemarle County website on the Board of Supervisors home page and on the Albemarle County calendar. Participation will include the opportunity to comment on those matters for which comments from the public will be received. During the time set aside for "Public Comment on: Matters Previously Considered or Currently Pending Before the Board (Other than Scheduled Public Hearings)", individuals are allowed three minutes to speak. Up to 10 persons may speak during each “From the Public” session. The 10 speakers are determined on a first-come, first-served basis. Each speaker may speak at only one “Matters from the Public” session at each meeting. The sign-up period closes when “Matters from the Public” begins. Electronic presentation materials may be displayed by a member of the public provided it is emailed to the Clerk at least 48 hours in advance of the Board meeting. During Public Hearings, the Board will only acknowledge speakers addressing the item listed for Public Hearing. Speaker

  • Time keeping is conducted through a timer and a light system at the podium. The green light will go on when you begin speaking and this begins your allotted time; a yellow light indicates you have one minute to finish your comment; a red light indicates your time has expired. In order to give all speakers equal treatment and courtesy, the Board requests that speakers adhere to the following guidelines: • When called to the speaker's podium, state your name and magisterial district • Address comments directly to the Board as a whole • Give written statements and other supporting material to the Clerk • If you represent a group or organization, you may ask others present to raise their hands and be recognized • If you exceed your allotted time, you will be asked to end your comments • If a speaker does not use all allocated time, the unused time may not be shared with another speaker • Back-and-forth debate is prohibited • Do not speak from your seat or out of turn • Persons in the audience are encouraged to raise their hands to in
